I think complaining about contractions with apostrophes is a lost cause.
If you're going to type "were", just be prepared for "we're". It's going to happen.
Prepare yourself for "it's" when it should be "its". Again it's going to happen. grin

One of the commoner screwups that don't involve apostrophes is "defiantly", which comes from the typer typing incorrectly "definately" when he should have typed "definitely".

What are your favorites?

My personal least favorite is when autowronger -- so called because it's clearly not correcting -- changes my correct "you're" to incorrect "your".

In days of yore, the teacher would have the software engineers who wrote that algorithm tarred, feathered, and ridden out on a rail, but you tell that to kids today and they just ask for more stock options.

I absolutely despise "i'm," "i've" etc. changed to a capital "I"

"kk" changed to "ok"

Yes, I'm 12.

On a site dealing with wargames, it really annoys me that it doesn't recognise the word.

Winston Smith14 Sep 2018 6:51 a.m. PST

You've noticed that too?

Yes … too many to list … Especially on wargame sites, Sci-fi etc. However, they usually get Klingon right … evil grin

Qapla' … [see !] wink
