I sculpted these miniatures about 10 to 15 years ago – then still – alas in 1 / 72 scale.
There I am not a professional sculptor the progress was very painful – heaps of rejects.

NCOs include sergents, sergent-najors, fourriers, caporaux

@de Ligne

Let me know your e – mail address and I get in touch with you.
Those above sculpts are available by Schilling miniatures – who did the mold making and casting in superb quality, there I did sculpt with complete disregard of castability.

Excellent work Von W!
I don't recall ever seeing your paintwork before. Nice work on the striped trousers, I can't paint a straight line!
Great looking figures.

Beautiful figures and paint job. 1/72nd isn't the size I use but these are very nice.

At last your beautiful figures are casted. Congrats!
Prussians will follow?

von Winterfeldt13 Sep 2018 1:12 p.m. PST

thanks for the kind comments, the miniatures were cast quite a while ago – as for the Prussians, who knows?

Wrgmr1, you should see his early Cuirassier conversions in The One true Scale (TOTS). I have pics saved, but must find the link tomorrow….far too good a long dinner with Mrs F, three sons and extended family tonight…….must drink some water before bed.

von W does have a certain talent for sculpting, but then for painting too, plus he does seem to be a reasonably authoritative opinion also!

Fully agree with the statement above.

Retiarius913 Sep 2018 5:47 p.m. PST

absolutely fantastic and realistic proportions, cant be sculpted or painted any better

Excellent stuff!!!!

von Winterfeldt21 Sep 2018 11:11 p.m. PST

thanks for all the nice comments, at least I realize it doesn't pay off to sculpt ear rings in this scale – hardly anybody will notice.

Beautiful work, I love those sculpts. The painting is really nice too, they go so well together.
