So I have watched all the movies "The Purge" and now watching the series, I'm just curious what rules would one would use? I want to be ale play the gangs to some point but I want to be able to play out the survivors for lack of a better name for them and I most like need rule for vehicles as well. |

Combat Zone was the first thing to pop into my mind. |

All Things Zombie – Evolution has it covered, including vehicles. link |

I have the "Finial Fadeout" rules, and I'm assuming the new set of rules are updated. |

I struggled through the first movie. I decided one Purge film was more than enough for me. :) Dan |

You need rules that provide for (1) all sorts of crazy and improvised weapons as well as firearms, and (2) some sort of "warband" rules to create a gang and gain experience, etc. A crazy third bonus could be rules for fashionable or imaginative kills. A hybridized Ganesha Games SOBH ruleset could work, with improvised weaponry being represented by character traits, and using the campaign rules that one of the rulesets has. Savage Worlds Showdown—the free Miniatures supplement for SW—also comes to mind in this respect. |

I second All Things Zombie – Evolution. |

Warmonkey – Yes, updated. There was a 6 year span between FFO and Evolution and what the gamers wanted was streamlining mechanics while keeping the story and campaign stuff. Vehicle rules are also in it as well as options to play straight tabletop or on battle boards that are included. More info. What's inside. link |

I'm pretty unaware of movies, so don't know this one. But "The Purge" in the subject made me think of getting rid of miniatures. Appropriately in the Horror forum! andy |

This is a novel movie. But what happens when the common folk grow tired of the violence and use some of their 400 million guns to enforce some order on society. Might be interesting to game along those lines. |

For gang street fights, it really doesn't get better than THW. (Not knocking Ganesha or anyone else – those games are great, too!) I haven't been playing much of anything for the past few years, so I haven't seen the latest ATZ, but I still consider the previous CR/ATZ versions my favorite gang warfare rules around. ATZ is very fast moving and tense, but be warned that your "crew" may not always be as brave as you want them to be. :) |
