In a final post from our visit to Chester in July, I take a look at some of the remaining sights that are still to be seen in the city relating to its role in the Civil War

The city has some amazing sights that still exist despite the passage of time.

Very interesting report on Civil War Chester. Loved the view of the Boot Inn. A real opportunity to step in to history!

Chester is a gem. It is hardly obscure, although I can think of other places which get a lot more prominence, but are a lot less interesting.

Great! We thoroughly enjoyed Chester on our visits to the UK in 1984 and 1985. I fear I missed the Boot Inn to my chagrin!
