According to all my books the Egyptians only received around 200 T 62s which were allocated to just 2 units. These appear to be the 1967 model and one of my other books refers to it as the 1966 model.

The new Battlefront model appears to be a later type looking at the loaders hatch. Possibly a 1972 model ?

Did the Egyptians use these later model types during the 73 war? I have to date not found any evidence of them using this late model . A lot of their T62 order was received after the war and could have been of this later model?

Just wondering if anyone as any info?

Thanks

I just wanted to also add. The picture that Battlefront use for the T62 box is of the earlier type T62 and is NOT the model supplied within the set.

is NOT the model supplied within the set.

Like the T64s which have several parts shown on the box photo and the assembly diagram but are not in the box.
