Good report and very nice figures. However, based on the title, I thought this was a game involving a one-armed Spencer Tracy. :)

I'd forgotten about that movie. You are showing your age by making reference to it, but its not a bad idea to develop the plot into an SPv2 scenario. Do they make any one armed AWI figures? May have to make a conversion. One armed Rebel war hero returns to village of Black Rock to present medal to parents of fellow soldier who died saving his life. Mean spirited local Tory commander tries to prevent it with help of British Regulars. Yup! I've got some plastic AWI figures so can see this happening.

Very nice. When I saw the post I thought the bug posted a Wild West Scenario in the wrong place.

It was nice to see a Sharp Practice in progress. How did you arrive at the size of units? Is it determined by the scenario? I thought SP was only for light infantry. I had also thought that SP was only individual basing. Basically troops skirmishing ahead the main line and that is all.

If you want I can convert your figure from two arms to one arm easily. Just shipped to me and I will the necessary modifications for a nominal fee. wink

Size of Units is dictated in the Rules. Most are in eight figure Groups. Militia are in ten figure Groups. You can combine Groups to make Formations. Although you can run SPv2 as all skirmishers you loose a lot of the benefits of operating Formations. In SPv1, a Leader would have to be a Level 3 to control a three group Formation. That's changed with SPv2 and now it only takes one Initiative to activate a Formation.SPv2 is really a small unit tactical game well suited to small actions like you would get in the AWI. It might help to think of it as a figure scale 1:5 to 1:10 game with the Groups representing small companies of Troops.

Oh that is so cool. Yep I'm of an age where I think the old movies surpass this stuff coming out of today's Hollywood.
Don't forget the girlfriend of the Tory Cmdr, a fetching blonde that runs the local livery which rents out horses and townsfolk wanting to help our hero but scared of the Tory Cmdr and unwilling to send a dispatch rider. Of course the ending would need a rewrite…I can't see our hero crawling under the horse to fill a glass bottle for a molotov cocktail. :-)
