What would be your level of interest, on a scale of 0 (none) to 10 (any cost), in a set of 28mm figures based on the Laura Ingalls Wilder stories.

Civilian figures are always welcome. Not at "any cost" though, so wherever that put me on the scale….

0, don't do anything in 28mm.

I would buy 12 Nellie Olesons and melt them all!

Cacique Caribe10 Sep 2018 7:45 p.m. PST

I would buy a set, paint them up nicely, to give to my 95-year old Mom.

1 or 2.

Lion in the Stars10 Sep 2018 10:05 p.m. PST

I'd need to see the minis in 15mm, but if they were nice I'd probably buy a set. 5 or 6.

28mm, no interest for me, but probably more sales that way.

Generic civilians in any period are useful. Related to the books/TV series specifically would be of no interest as I hated the TV show.

Personal logo Flashman14 Supporting Member of TMP11 Sep 2018 4:20 a.m. PST

I'd have to see them. Would they be based on the illustrations or on the hit tv show?

Civilians are always useful, as some have said, and it would be fun to see if anyone recognizes them.
So yes, if they are well sculpted. 6-7.
I have the Gone with the Wind civis.

axabrax11 Sep 2018 8:11 a.m. PST

Sure--they'd be great homesteaders for scalping >:-D

jefritrout11 Sep 2018 8:51 a.m. PST

7-8 for the more civilians category. Can be quite useful.

5, and would need several variations: the 'before', and the full moon werewolf versions, and the obligatory zombie outbreak versions!

Generic pioneers? 7-8

Winston Smith13 Sep 2018 1:54 p.m. PST

Reading the above, I realize how valuable civilian miniatures can be.
But how would you game the show? Seriously.
And if they are to be "portrait" figures, I can imagine the cost.

Now if you want to do…..

Jeffers13 Sep 2018 3:22 p.m. PST

The TV series or the books? From memory (I read them all when I was 12) the physical descriptions in the books were different from the series.

For western/ACW games a wide variety of civilians/non-gunslingers is useful, but at 'any cost' is probably too drastic…

7th Va Cavalry30 Oct 2018 8:33 a.m. PST

Only if we get to blow up the town like they did on the original series. All accept Pa's house of course. Oh yeah, and the church.

Old Contemptibles30 Oct 2018 12:16 p.m. PST

No that I think about it. Less than zero.
