Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on dismounted Swabian Swordsmen in basic impetus, I've been unable to find this option in any of the basic impetus lists in particular early Eastern Franks list and Early Feudal Papal States.
For many years I was led to believe that Swabian preferred to fight on foot, but in basic impetus ( and other rules for that matter but not all ) they have to stay mounted.

I agree with you about the absence of Swabian foot in the Impetus lists. In the full game you can dismount Swabian cavalry. They become 6/2 C infantry which is about right for the Swabian foot that fought at Civitates. Not sure about BI.

Thanks Marcus

I think I'll follow your lead on that.
