"Waffenträger auf E-100 From: Amusing Hobby 1/35th scale Product No #35A026 Released at the end of September 2018 But first – what is this Waffenträger auf E-100 you ask?
"A proposal to mount a large-calibre antiaircraft gun on the chassis of the E-100 tank. The vehicle was to feature either a 128- or 150-mm guns with automatic loading system. However, the design project was never developed" is the spiel but in reality, this is the most frequently discussed and unusual vehicle in the German World of Tanks tech tree. This vehicle is completely made up by Wargaming…."

The Germans were very good with coming up with gee wiz weapons. The problem is that they were facing armies with plain Jane weapons in LARGE numbers. If it took 5 Shermans or T34s to take out one of these it would be a victory for the allies. |

They became obsessed with bigger and bigger guns, armor chassis, etc., as the war progressed. E.g. the Maus, the Ratte, E-100, etc. But as we know most only got as far as the drawing board. And that super-sized AFVs, come with a plethora of problems inherently. |

So the turret turns … and sweeps the crew off the tank. Looks cool though. |

Ahh, the "waffletractor" Not like the Germans were facing anything that couldn't be killed by the 88, but the Jagdtiger ended up with the 12.8cm gun. My Weird War Germans use E50s with 75mm L/70s and IR gear, the infantry travels in 38(t) Katzchen full-tracked APCs. |
