ForgeWorld offers two deals for the Battle of the Pelennor Fields in 28mm. These offers are accompanied by a set of rulers with an awesome design

Been looking forward to this. Now, just have to rob a bank to pay for it.

Forge World, or just GW, seems redily available.

White dwarf shows pics of the sets with those horrible plastic trees, thank goodness they are not part of the set! Have they not sold out of those things yet?

But, yes looking hopeful for lotr. Is this their last push before trying to get tv rights? Then push out a new edition for that?

One thing with lotr, thankfully, is they can't just redo things each edition. That's assuming these are the regular figures? Theodin is a new "sculpt". I don't think they are calling him limited edition, unlike radagast who was "limited" until the end if the hobbit last I checked.

This is now a cheap enough game for them, licence aside, as they gave more than plenty of molds to use at their leisure.

Looking on with interest.
