Earl Ziemke was my major professor when I was in graduate school. The book is good, but because of the period in which it was written, there was little access to Soviet sources.

there also is Glantz, Erickson and chapters in Hastings, Hanson
The rub is the more you read on that war, the less likely a German victory, not even a draw.
