The bug ate most of my previous message, so I am trying again. As a keen historical miniatures gamer who is now retired I'm looking to make contact with gamers near either Baulkham Hills or Hornsby in Sydney. If you need a player for a game or just someone to paint with, contact me at fnzaal "at" gmail.com

Ps I'm very keen on AWI, DBA, and Colonials, but will happily play most historical periods. I am more a social than heavily competitive gamer and paint my miniatures to a high standard.
If I sound like a kindred spirit, give me a shout!

These rules (One-hour Skirmish Wargames)by Pen and Sword Books keep popping up in my email but I cannot find a single review for them. Does anyone have any insight into these if they are any good or not?

I know that TacticalPainter01 is from that area, and there is at least one other frequent player of Lardie games (Chain of Command, Sharp Practice, IABSM, etc) there as well. I'm guessing they could probably hook you up.

I'm in Sydney but not really in that area, I'm in Surry Hills. We meet on the first Saturday of every month at Paddington RSL from 10am until late afternoon. Most games are historical board games but a few of us also play Chain of Command, Sharp Practice etc. Otherwise we tend to play at each other's houses. Many of the group are inner-west or southern suburbs.

Sutherland Shire gamers are miles away from you but are very active miniatures gamers (and organisers of MOAB).

Company of Dice play everything from Xwing to historical. I think they meet in Kensington but check their Facebook page.

Thanks for the help everyone. Historical miniatures gamers do seem to be scarce in the Northern Suburbs. Did manage to hook up and play DBA with 1 gamer who was kind enough to email me during my 2 month visit. And will use above info for my next visit.
