For my 28mm Viking project; but I am sure will work for anything. Plasticard base. A tub of lightweight wall spackleling from Home Depot. As it started to dry I formed a hill with a plastic trowel. Pushed in steps and pool of water. Then the reality of drying time. Over a week. Coated the whole thing with plumbers siliconized caulk. Pushed in my dirt and rocks. Let dry a day. Base paint over that. Pushed in the trees with superglue. Another day of drying. Then dry brushing, grasses and flowers. link |

Beautiful! Darker than most pieces so it's a welcome change. |

That's solid wall spackling? Would it have been easier to lightly cover a hill of plasticard-based styrofoam instead? |
Hlaven | 04 Sep 2018 11:20 a.m. PST |
Yes. I probably should of used styrofoam first. Thank you all. |

I think it looks great. And the next one you can use styrofoam. :) |
