Colours will be held at Newbury Racecourse on Saturday 15th September. For details please see our web site page at nrwc.org.uk/colours-2018. The published map is still fundamentally accurate; if visiting you must choose your approach to suit your route. Traders and exhibitors with items to unload must use the eastern approach. Competitions are now solely Infinity with a possible last-minute event for Kill Team. That is yet to be confirmed. The Bring & Buy download is still out-of-date. I will place a further announcement when that is fixed. Please note that there is absolutely no parking in the Grandstand area this year. Traders and exhibitors should have received instructions and vehicle passes by e-mail; please contact Ian or Martin if you have not. - Nathan, on behalf of the Newbury & Reading Wargames Society |

hmmm, haven't heard anything – I've mailed Martin about our participation game… Mike |

Mike, what name are your group appearing as? I don't have anything under your trading name for trade or demonstration. I'm now also chasing Martin over this, and will speak to him first-hand if he's down the club tonight. |

Nothing so far, Mike, but we're still looking into the matter. |

I've emailed Martin and had a reply so all I need is a yes or no as to whether we have a table? thanks Mike |

Mike, I'm very sorry but unless there has been some complete mix-up over your group name we don't have you down for Colours 2018. I realise that this may be a big disappointment but our contingency table space is now committed. We do normally work to deadlines to avoid this sort of problem and I'm really unhappy that you've only found out at the last minute. I've dropped my contact details into your shop form in case we can salvage anything. - Nathan |

15.27 UK time. Looks like Colours is going to be chaotic again this year. Just looked at the web site, traders are there but most of the other information is either not there or 2017 info. Check the web site for the entrances to the show, they have been changed with a new entrance having been created from with the town. There are no building plans showing where stands or games are going. The Bring and Buy is still last years so the two queue will be a none sense as there are no correct B and B forms to prefill for one of the queues, also have a check to see what they are allowing and disallowing to be sold on the B and B. The list is quite long. |

The web site still shows the 2017 map but this is fundamentally correct and clearly states there are two entrances to Colours, so whether you approach from Newbury or the A4 you will find an open car park at the Racecourse. The barriers between the two halves are only opened on race days. This has been the case since 2016 and is not a new development. Exhibitors and traders with heavy items to unload have received instructions & passes as per my original posting. A downloadable plan of the show will be uploaded in advance. The ground and first floors were settled some time ago but as you can see from this thread, we are still working on the second floor. The SW Legion and Saga competitions will not be happening; Legion narrowly failed to attain critical mass and the prospective GW Kill Team competition has not materialised but the Infinity competition promises to be our largest ever. I'll remind my Bring & Buy organiser over the form, which should have been uploaded some time ago. |

Our web site at nrwc.org.uk has now been updated. The 2018 show guide is now available for download. The 2018 B&B form is now available for download. An up-to-date list of clubs & groups demonstrating has been posted. I will continue to monitor TMP for any last-minute concerns, but will not be able to reply throughout much of Friday. |

Great to see that this years event has made it into 2018!!! Good luck with the show. Hope it is successful. |

That's appreciated. We don't take success for granted. We operate a rolling suggestions / comments book and keep an eye on what the blogocracy has said about the show. I send a report to the president of our club once everything is settled, highlighting what's worked for this year and what didn't. Then the membership vote on whether to do it all over again next year! |
