Saw this at Riverhorse.eu Rise of the Resistance link 38 plastic miniatures, game board and accessories, 7 missions, 1-4 players, $80 USD retail Fall of Skynet link 18 additional minis, 6 more missions, 1-5 players, $60 USD retail These look like great deal. The 28mm minis are worth it alone, if they are hard plastic and up to standard. Also, this would be a great way for a newbie to get into sci-fi; you can play the game with friends, then get additional sprues of terminators and resistance fighters and play the miniatures game. Anyone heard more about this besides the official links? |

So, other than the half dozen character pieces, all of the others are one variant each? I would have hoped some variety with the exos too. Dan |

Warlord is having a warehouse sale till Monday. They had the Terminator game listed for $16. USDIf they have any left, that's a good deal. They also had sprues of resistance and terminators for $1.50 USD each. |

That's been on kickstarter twice and failed. Something not quite right about it. |

Ignore the below, as I didn't look close enough at the original post… This review makes it sound pretty interesting.. TMP link The figures do not seem that great to me, I will have to see when my copy arrives (from the Warlord Games Summer Clearance.. ending Monday, though the game box is sold out now, the rules are still available for $8.00 USD / 5 pounds). It looked interesting enough for such a low price, even if the miniatures do not look great. I have some Copplestone robots that can be used instead, or some Urban War Synthas.. |

no matter to me – plastics are so easy to work with and give variety of poses, angles, etc. "Too Easy". The characters look excellent, include some great poses and sculpts from films. These go for $8 USD each and are way too expensive at that price. These will give two games that can be played solo to cooperative 5 people, and I will look forward to that, and getting extra variety from the super inexpensive sprues. |

sorry, should have said that the characters go for $8 USD each from Warlord, but are much cheaper in these board games. To keep people from being confused, I'm talking about two upcoming board games, but also mentioned the wonderful miniatures game designed by my countryman [expatriot] Alessio Cavatore, and the excellent Andy Chambers [of Battlefleet Gothic and other fame]. |
