Recently I took a good look through Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse by Osprey Games. I wrote a review of the game over on my site. link Come on over and take a look through the article. Overall, I like the game. It is simple and light with some cool Campaign rules. link |

Can you safely ignore the RPG element and just use the rules for stand alone games? |

Ive seen a few Last Days Intro vid's and full games posted on You Tube and I like what I see. I think you could just give your survivors basic skill stats for a pick up style game and not be concerned with keeping the stats as you would in a campaign game. As for 'more than one type of Zombie?" We've come a long way from the original Romero films. Other than the simple slow walking, unrelenting undead, we now have walkers and eve runners, or the "Shamblers & Scramblers" if you will. Im kind of old school when it comes to Zombie Apoc, I prefer the more simple 'shamblers'. A running dead guy just never seemed right to me. |

Cyrus, there is just one type of zombie in the book. They move slightly slower than heroes unless you turn and fight or are slightly injured. They are the slower moving type of zombies. Not runners. 79. You could use the rules stand alone. They are fairly simple. For me, it is about the campaign games. Thanks Warmonkey. Thanks Part Time Gamer. |

M C M, Your welcome. Its great a 3rd party took the time to give an 'outsiders' look into this game. (unintended pun guys) While I think this game could be done as a pickup game. Like "Must", theres something about the campaign format, for me, that gives it more depth, brings the characters to life. Like having the same actor portraying a reoccurring role in a series. |

I have Last Days and I like that it's a stat line based game that provides a lot of archetypes to choose from to create a warband. What it could use in future installments are game modes with a heavier emphasis on zombie survival and co-op, with different zombie types. |

Balthazar.. first off, I'd love to see a more co-op perspective of this game. I love the Zombie Post Apoc genre, and 'hate' to admit it. But "Last Days", 'Every team/warband for himself', is a very realistic setting of What if (God forbid) any type of world wide apocalyptic event were to happen. Survival by Strength. Personally, I prefer playing 'A' group of survivors, working together, searching for supplies, wpns, even other survivors. Also I learned thru You Tube, that an expansion is said to be in the works, but no date or estimation when it will come about. |
