Having finally given in to the Warhammer 40k bug which had laid dormant in me for quite a few years, I have begun building all my Primaris models.

I bought the Dark Imperium boxed set as well as several additional squads of Intercessors, an additional Dreadnought besides the one pictured here, and a Primaris Repulsor tank. I'm shooting for a 2,000 pt. force and will add a second Repulsor at some point.

I wanted to use GW's Macgragge Blue spray primer/paint as a basecoat for the entire force, as I love the shade and look of it.

I bought two Dreadnoughts, one of the standard kits and one Easy to Build. This is the Easy to Build One. I built it as is out of the box but bought the rocket pod bit that's on his back separately as the Easy Build version does not include it.

This is an amazing kit. It comes in six giant pieces. I was able to assemble it in about twenty minutes. After it's sprayed it looks virtually identical the more expensive Dreadnought kit. It does come molded in blue as opposed to GW's usual gray plastic, but the finish is a slightly glossy, plasticy blue which I wanted to cover.

You can say what you want about GW. But they make some damn nicely detailed 40k kits. And all I can say about GW spray paints is that they are AMAZING. They go on silky smooth and give that true, dull, military-looking finish that these kind of kits need. My Chaos Black spray is about six years old and it still coats miniatures perfectly.

I know I've spoken out against the high price of GW's sprays in the recent past, but I've changed my tune a bit after using their Chaos Black and now Macragge Blue. But If you want a perfect color match to a Citadel color pot, these sprays can't be beaten. The finish is flawless, it's a perfect base coat.

Army Painter's stuff work as well.

Though this is really the only Space Marine Chapter.

Dork Angles? Hahahaha….
There a rumble in the air, as of one thousand boots marching in unison.
"Damn funny. It…it's like a train in the distance."

"IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT!"
