"Stormtroopers in dulled field armor, completed pics" Topic

Some more shots of the Stormtrooper models with the bases finally done.

Once I got texturing on the bases and the models were finally complete I like them even better. I think the white drybrushing over the black wash looks really effective as being like a dull, field-gray version of the standard white Stormtrooper armor.

I did all their weapons in Citadel Standard Mechanicus Grey. I chose this color so that the weapons as well as the armor would be more of a field color, dulled down and the glossiness removed from the weapons.

I also chose to base and texture all my SWL models with brown groundwork and winter/yellow gold static grass. I did this so that they could be used on a variety of tables and would and blend in with summer or winter – type terrain settings.

Looks better to me than that bright shiny white armor !

I agree with Legion 4. These are much more plausible than what we see in the movies.

Someone email this to GW. Combat units don't go to war in circus colors !!!
