I'm finally done with the keep and I have gotten serious about finishing the base link

Great job, Anton!

What's next? The bottom of the moat?

Excellent job – really good.
Question about your staircase: it seems to me you would want the stairs to circle counterclockwise if you were defending the Keep so that an attacker climbing up would have the freedom of his right (sword) arm impeded, while your defenders, looking down, would have the freedom to fully use their swords. Am I missing something here?

Tom Molon,

I believe they built the stairs ascending clockwise so that the attackers shield was toward the outer wall. To me ladders would have been the best answer but probably inconvenient for day-to-day use.

Excellent Tower.
Mostly, although there are exceptions, medieval stairs ascend clockwise
