Ending in a decisive victory this battle ends the series of Dark Age scenarios. To be honest, this project was undertaken to fill the void while waiting for the release of Eureka's 15mm Sumerian range. These have yet to be released. Fortunately, I do have plenty of small projects to keep me busy. link Cheers, Robert |

I have enjoyed your reports. I have noticed. It is hard for an all foot army not to get flanked by Knights/Cav/LH. |

Louis N, It is hard, but in such cases an able commander could turn the table against such flank attacks. Foot (Pk, Sp and Hd) scoring twice as many against cavalry will send them fleeing. This may bring them beyond command distance if cavalry or knights requiring them to expend an extra pip to return. Be aware to the advantages of using rough going vs. bad going terrain when fighting mobile armies. Rough going such as rocky ground or scrub will invite mobile armies to attempt flank attacks. Combat factors are not reduced but the effects of recoiling are which works well for foot troops. |
