Hi Everyone, This summer I have been sculpting and casting some 25mm Deep Ones for a proposed Cthulhu HOTT army. I'm really pleased at the way they turned out. These sculpts were a bit more ambitious in terms of poses and I found that pre-inserting vents into the moulds worked wonders. Here are the finished Frog-boys. I hope you all like them.
I now need to paint them. Also I wonder whether to weaponise all of my hordes or to leave some hands free. I can see Deep Ones creeping up and strangling things. All comments and crits welcome. kropotkinspage.wordpress.com |

Wow very good. That sets rather a high bar for the What I Did This Week category. I think that you should leave some with hands free, possibly with weapons slung. They will do some sneaking and strangling and stuff and will need both hands free for that. |

When I played CoC, my PC's weapons did not seem very effective against the monsters! My GM laughed and said, "I'll give you a Tommy Gun if you like… It won't help." {GULP!} I say leave them weaponless -- it is actually more terrifying that they don't need weapons to be deadly. They bring back creepy memories of playing the game some 20 years ago… {Shudder!} They look great. Excellent job on the molds! They look like commercial products I would buy. Thanks for sharing! Cheers! |

I'd take a Tommy Gun against a Deep One anytime! @Kropotkin303, Great work! |

Splendid work, it is always good to see some home casts. Dagon will be most pleased with his new servants. Cheers TW |

Thank you guys for the feedback. Always great to hear people's ideas. I think I will only weaponise a few of the Deep Ones and have the rest open handed. Looking forward to painting them now. Perhaps I should give them Tommy Guns. Oh the horror! |

"Nooo!!!…" Suddenly, Fred, a very gregarious, and vocal sort of jolly fellow, went silent. What could have happened to good 'ol Fred? LOL! |
