Is this the original or the second edition?

Says 2nd edition in the top line.

Still got my original from the 70s. At 1 time I wrote an Excel programme with look-ups to cut through the tables as part of a work course. Still like these an have gone back to them many times.

4.99? I'll have to buy it just for a lark (Since I don't play RPGs much anymore). My group had great fun with this game back in the eighties.

There really isn't much of an RPG to old, second edition Boot Hill. What it is, though, is a very fine set of gunfight skirmish rules – even after all these years I'd say they're one of the best.

Interesting to note that RPGNOW also has the third edition Boot Hill available. I've not seen them, but have heard they are much more RPG-ish, with skills, more advice for the gamemaster, etc.

Check out SONG OF THE SIXGUN RPG on Drivethrurpg. Similar to Boot Hill 2 edition in that it uses a d100 also and only costs
$2.99 USD US. There's ideas you can use from it for Boot Hill or vice versa. It's based on Spaghetti Westerns for fans of the genre.
