The State of Ohio's collection of ACW flags, guidons, and flank markers. Well worth a look.

Great collection of flags. Ohio did more to recognize the 150th Anniversary than most states.

We like many towns in OH and elsewhere have an ACW monument in the middle of downtown. [And have no fear of someone calling for it to be taken down.]

We had a statue of a confederate soldier at a confederate cemetery in Col.Ohio. Vandals knocked over the statue, and stole the head so it couldn't be repaired. This was all done with the blessing of the mayor, because he was told it was a federal cemetery and he didn't have the power to have it removed.

Just looked up my ancestor's National color of the 61st Ohio. He and his brother served. They were captured by Jackson at Harper's Ferry right before Antietam. Both were later paroled. They saw a lot of action.
