Main page link Amicalement Armand

Has anyone read this book and have an opinion on its usefulness? Anyone heard of its possible translation into French or English? |

I assume that some of the material is taken from the various articles in the older series of "Soldats Napoléoniens" – for example n° 20 has "L'état major de Joseph Napoléon, roi d'Espagne par Luis Sorando Muza" link I have a number of the editions dealing with Joseph's Guard cavalry and line infantry. The articles are excellent as are the accompanying illustrations. This book is certainly on my list of must buys – but first I must convince the Mrs that I still have space in my bookcases…. |

Hmm, interesting magazine; thanks. Are you at the point where you have to shed a book to add a book? |

I have this book, have read it, and found it an absolute must have for any with interest in this army. in more than one occurence, the author frankly states that he doesn'nt known, that he did not find any data on some point, or that some well known images on some units of Joseph "Juramentados" are in fact based on later paintings, depicting spanish troops in Ferdinand VII armies during the 1823 campaign… some great pictures, too, from well known illustrators (Courcelles, etc…) |

If you can read Spanish. I'll have to wait until it is available in either French or English. |
