"Most veterans oppose returning the bells". Says who? No one asked me, I'm a veteran and support returning the bells. Are we really a nation that celebrates war trophies taken in colonial conquest? |

If asked, I'd say give 'em back the bells. This, however, may have been a blessing in disguise. Had those bells not been removed "over a century ago," they might have been melted down for shell casings when the country was occupied in 1942. |
