Hello All, I just got a copy of the rules and the first game was fun. I have a question about melee and I am looking to see if I missed anything. In my reading I see no advantage to the defensive unit for holding inside a structure or defensive position, such as a rampart. For example I have a unit inside a building and the enemy unit is charging through the one doorway. Or Imagine pirates storming a fort wall with ladders and engaging the defenders at the top. The dice rolls are no different than if the combat occurred in the open. Am I right in that observation or have I missed something. There is no additional fight save bonus to the defender for example. If this is the case have groups done any house rules to make attacking into rooms or against defensive works harder? Thanks |

There's a save bonus when defending structures. Easily missed, though. We missed it too! Read through the melee section carefully. |

You were right Dexter, I had to slow down to read the whole section. Page 51 was the key. So there is a Save benefit to defending hard cover. Thank you |
