"Continuing our visit to mother Russia, check out the mindblowing English trailer for their new WW2 film T-34! The Great Patriotic War, 1941 year. In the battles at Volokolamsky frontier, Junior Lieutenant Ivushkin on his tank destroys the tank company of the Hauptmann Klaus Jager and finds himself in German captivity. Three years later, the Soviet tankman, despite the discontent of his comrades and the camp underground, suddenly agrees to lead a group of prisoners of war who are destined to become "cannon fodder" on captured T-34. However, Ivushkin uses the teachings for a daring and carefully planned escape. Thanks to the heroism of the comrades and the confusion of the Germans, Soviet tankmen are at large. Ahead – a provincial and undeveloped Germanic outback, to the border with the Czech Republic – 350 kilometers, and on the tail of the Soviet crew – a dozen "Panther" led by one of the best tankmen of the Reich Klaus Jager."

Not sure how I feel about this. I watched the trailer before reading the above summary. At the start of the trailer, I thought it looked good, then well, it seemed to be a bit loose in the history department.

Please tell me in that one scene they aren't skipping a shell into the belly of a Panther… please?

Since when did a T-34 have a steering wheel?

IIRC former Russian POWs who worked their way back to the Russian army were not well treated. Something along the lines of ,"You allowed yourself to be captured etc. etc."

Promising beginning but then……..

I assume (yes know the "other" meaning of that word) the idea is for the Russian tank crew and tank to serve as a target and training aide. It is an interesting premise.

@Capt. John Miller: Yes, even soldiers who were encircled and fought their way back were considered suspect. They expected you to die trying to take one more Nazi with you.

And yes, after 30 seconds you realize this is *not* a historical drama, this is a super hero movie with Freddy Kruger playing the Nazi and Bradovich Pittsky as the good guy.

And throw in a chick for a love interest…

"Like watching a video game" That has been the problem with every damn movie trailer I've seen in the last 10 to 15 years. Well, lets say 99% of trailers. I don't go to movies anymore for that reason. One exception of late was Dunkirk. Which I thought was a great movie. Now I'll hunker down for all the BS I get for that comment…
