Hurrah for Helion! It is fantastic to see the books that are being published on relatively esoteric subjects. I will be buying all of these. Keep up the good work. I hope that as many folk as possible can support this venture.

Brilliant. Count me in for most, if not all, of your planned titles.

Happy new year and thank you for these fresh and actualised news!

a scoop about a forthcoming Italian Armies of the Spanish Succession War !

it is a lapsus or not for the War of the League of Augsburg, passing from Piemontese Army only to Italian Armies?

about Bruno's sub-serie, with 8 volumes even adding the 9th title about Ottoman so it means that one of the first 8 will be reduced to 7, this concerns the volumes 5 and 6 French into one or 7-German States merged with Austria or Scandinavia or something other?

Hi Lilian, Bruno's 8 volume series will now be 9 volumes to include the Ottomans, and Ciro Paoletti's book with plates by Bruno is correctly called 'WILLIAM III's ITALIAN ALLY. PIEDMONT AND THE WAR OF THE LEAGUE OF AUGSBURG 1683-1697'

'The Italian Front of the Nine Year has been completely neglected by Italian and other European Historians. It is often assumed that the conflict was fought solely in Flanders and the Rhineland, and by mainly North West European Armies. This was not so. William of Orange, the driving force of the Grand Alliance in the fight against the French, considered the Italian aspect of the conflict to be the greatest strategic importance. Piedmont, in north western Italy bordered France, and Italian armies were able to threaten the south of France with invasion. For the first time too, the nature of late 17th century warfare in Italy is considered and the author examines organisation, training and logistics. Military artist Bruno Mugnai enhances the book's text with 8 specially commissioned colour plates that illustrate the uniforms and flags of this highly visual period.'
