If you have Netflix and have been watching Season 2 of the Crown, there is an unexpected gem in Episode 6.

Queen Elizabeth is visiting the home of one of her late father's friends and they enter this gorgeous huge room with a gigantic wargame table laid out before them.
She recognizes the Duke of Wellington figure but thinks it is the battle of Waterloo. He tells her it is Salamanca.

I did not recognize the figure they had on the table. They looked like 28mm scale I think.
Was relay a great wargame room he had there.
Here is info on The Crown series from IMDB.

I will have to get back to it. My wife and I got tired of the depressive episodes about the Queen's sister and quit watching. Now I have a new reason to watch. Thanks,

The Queen's sister was a hoot !! Here are clips from the scene you mention..And I too thought it Waterloo.

Good God in Heaven should my war-game room look like that ! That said, they should be 30mm.. lads there was no 28mm back then. But on closer inspection they may indeed be 28mm stand-ins.

The debate is aflame on other sites with folks claiming they even used bits of the Airfix LaHaye Sainte! and the figures "being Pendraken figures which had not been cast at the time."

Interestingly the figures the Queen picks up are British (troops of Sir Edward Pakenham's Third Infantry Division says Tommy Lascelles , according to the subtitles) conveniently placed behind French lines for dramatic effect I suppose !

You can see her point about Waterloo and Tommy may have got it wrong. Very Belgian looking buildings, "Belgic" cap on the British and more like a ridge than the Greater or Lesser Arapiles. That is some bridge too!

Wonderful series and the Lascelles portrayal was simply priceless.

This hunt was fun -- and I am glad we solved the mystery.
and indeed the house and the French figures are indeed Airfix.. The Queen was right ! And so was I when I thought it was Waterloo !!

I love when she puts the figure down in the wrong place . The look on Tommy's face was priceless
