So, they teased me with a nice offer.

List items by midnight tonight, sell by the end of the month, and earn matching credits from them, for the value sold, for use on other eBay purchases. Max. value is $100. USD

Sounds very nice indeed, if the items sell.

Log on tonight to click on and accept the offer, and lo and behold, it's MIA.

WTF???!!!

It wasn't due to expire until 11:59 PM tonight, my time zone.

Call customer service, and wait 30 minutes for a call back. Then, am told by the customer rep. there's nothing she can do. She was very pleasant though.

I told her that was unacceptable, especially since I'm a long time customer.

I ask for a supervisor, but he's not available for an hour or so. Seems eBay is very understaffed.

I tell her that ridiculous, and hang up.

Not a happy camper.

Do some chores, and then hear the phone ringing. Guy called me back, and says he's reinstated the offer, so I say great, and thanks.

Check eBay, and there's still no message, so I don't know if my sales will actually be honored, after all. There's no way for me to confirm that they will, and no code to enter, or button to click on to ensure they will be properly logged.

By this time, I've wasted 1.5 hours or so, and decide not to stress about such a tight deadline to list stuff.

Screw them, I'll just sell the 1/144th scale planes and tanks I've got directly instead.

Why bother sharing the profits with them?

my sympathies.

They don't care about the little guy anymore.
You're not a store selling retail.

The new version of "enterprise" in America, is to start a company, then sit back and reap the profits. It is taking a long time for that "vision" to die out. While it continues, the customer suffers.

eBay has been trying to get the "little guy" off their platform for years. They want to go after Amazon but to do that you need to have reliable stock.

Which is why I never bother with feedback any more.

eBay is where I look for the lowest price on retail goods. Amazon doesn't ask for feedback…

I don't know about eBay, I only buy a few things. Amazon asked for feedback and every item they sell.

I have a love hate relationship with eBay. It is the only outlet I have to easily sell something and I occasionally find good lots of figures…
