"‘Lancaster Skies' is an upcoming feature film from a small and dedicated group of film makers working under the banner of Tin Hat Productions. The film tells the story of Flight Lieutenant Douglas Miller, a former solitary Spitfire ace and a veteran of the Battle of Britain. After the tragic death of his younger brother, Miller transfers to Bomber Command. After arriving at his new Squadron, Miller's single minded determination to wage war at any cost puts him into conflict with the bomber crew under his command, who are struggling to come to terms with the death of their much loved skipper on an earlier sortie. In the days leading up to a perilous mission over Berlin, Miller must overcome his past and become the leader that his troubled crew so desperately need…." Main page link Tráiler link

Thanks for sharing. Looks good. A pity more movies like this haven't been made. Also, a shame they chose to do it in black and white. I hate it when directors/producers/financial backers do that. Needed a technical expert to, on British night bombing, so they'd know that the RAF didn't fly in formation at night, on their bombing raids, though many aircraft might be in close proximity to one another at any given time, especially when the bomber streams were tightened up. |

I must respectfully disagree, I loved the B&W. Crystal clear too. Very period. And very promising. And talk about a tight budget. Most films today are lucky to get one good effect for the total cost of this production. |

Like the idea about a Bomber Command movie, but don't like the sound of this premise. I'd prefer a story that shows an average crew going through team up and a tour, this story sounds very contrived. As to black and white, it makes sense so that they can use actual historical footage to supplement their own given a low budget. |

Yep, incredible that they could get it made for that little. I agree with Vigilant on the story-line. |
