I had a gaming website freewebs.com/norrins that was hosted on freewebs which then became webs.com. At first it was good value for money and fairly easy to use. However, about 18 to 24 months ago, webs.com did a migration which caused I and several others to lose a lot of content from our webpages. Despite being a paid up subscriber and raising numerous support tickets I was never able to restore the missing content. The files are there, but the process to go through to restore them to the correct webpage was tortuous and as a result I refused to renew my subscription with webs.com. As a result, I'm in limbo. I have a lot of my files saved locally so I can start again, but the question is where to start. Did a quick search and Wordpress and BlogSpot seem to have favourable reviews. Ideally I'm after a provider that will let me update from my phone and tablet in addition to my laptop, but is also user friendly!!! Any recommendations at who else to look at? |

Blogspot Peanut butter in my Chocolate? A euphemism? |

Heh – I guess it's an American thing – a long standing campaign for Reese's Peanut Butter cups where two idiots inadvertently gets their chocolate bar stuck in an open peanut butter jar. It's the happy accident that gave rise to the peanut butter cup. YouTube link |

Blogspot's mobile app is horrible and essentially does not work. However, I like Blogspot. I've heard good things about Wordpress. |

I went with Wordpress as several of the scientists I know were using it. Have had no problems setting up my blog at all. Then went on to build a bigger website for my council. It can cope with the cheap and cheerful domain names through to .com and .gov domain names. |

I have been using Blogger for most of a decade now, I have four blogs with them and have never had any problems. They let you host all your pictures right on the blog (no need for off-site linking). If you can use Word to build a document, you can use Blogger |

It's hard to beat the chocolate/peanut butter combo. Makes my stomach growl just thinking about it |

I started on Blogspot / Blogger. It was great and you can't beat the price. I moved to Wordpress later for personal reasons related to the account that I linked to Blogger. For anyone starting out, I would recommend Blogger (unless you have cash to burn). |
