Unlike Dark Helmet I do like yogurt.

I was talking in the store a few days ago, and saw some yogurt, and realized it was a very very long time since I ate it last time, at least a year, maybe closer to 2 years.

So I bought a couple of kg of yogurt.
And having now just eaten a kg of yogurt for breakfast, I can say, that yes I do indeed like it a lot.

Eat it every day. Not in Kg amounts though.

Yes.

The flavored ones are OK for deserts or as part of a meal. I cook a lot of recipes with plain yoghurt (it's a good sub for sour cream sometimes).

1kg in one sitting? That's like half your food weight and half your calories for a day.

Joes Shop Supporting Member of TMP10 Aug 2018 4:56 a.m. PST

No. But, I eat it because of my diet.

Old Wolfman10 Aug 2018 6:32 a.m. PST

Nope. Wife does,though.

StCrispin10 Aug 2018 6:50 a.m. PST

In Tzatziki, or plain with fruit or honey, heck yeah! Great source of protein, probiotics, and healthy fat. Eat more of it! From what I've seen, We need more healthy gamers

I like Yoghurt sometimes. I usually eat vanilla though, as some fruits sets off my food texture issues (if it has seeds it's not for me!)

Damon.

Please delete me10 Aug 2018 7:10 a.m. PST

Rudysnelson10 Aug 2018 7:56 a.m. PST

No, nothing can beat old fashioned home made with a churn ice cream

Yeah … I like yogurt. But Greek with honey & nuts and figs if I can get it …

wrgmr110 Aug 2018 8:31 a.m. PST

Yes, plain or vanilla. Usually to fix an upset stomach.

The Beast Rampant10 Aug 2018 8:33 a.m. PST

Wife and kid love it. I could take it or leave it- except for the 'plain' which is yucky.

doomfire10 Aug 2018 9:00 a.m. PST

I like the Yoplait fruit ones. I can shake them before opening and mix everything up. It's a nice appetite dampener in the middle of the afternoon, especially in summer.

I'm not sure I want to eat a kilogram of anything in one sitting! I felt differently when I was a teenager. I could really put the food away then.

As to yogurt, real yogurt is delicious and has a delightful texture, but it bloats my stomach and makes me flatulent. Yogurt substitutes based on soy, almonds, or coconut, are mostly good, and I eat them.

For all brands and types, the vanilla flavor usually has a nice grainy texture. I buy mostly vanilla and plain, and add raisins or dried currants, whatever fresh berries I have, and sometimes granola.

I also buy a few with fruit already added, mostly to take to the office.

yes

Mostly no. I like the sugary dessert ones like Yoplait and Dannon – not sour, en vogue, Greek varieties.

All that said I don't eat any of it anymore – because they are sugary and dessert like.

JimSelzer10 Aug 2018 9:29 a.m. PST

depends on brand and flavor

mad monkey 110 Aug 2018 10:31 a.m. PST

Yep.

1kg in one sitting? That's like half your food weight and half your calories for a day.

Well you'll need half a kilo minimum, it takes me about a minute to eat that, so any less and I won't notice I've eaten it. But one kilo was quite a lot so was quite full for several hours. It was half a kilo of forest berries and half a kilo of melon (my favourite)

rmaker10 Aug 2018 11:06 a.m. PST

Yes

Occasionally, Lemon curd flavoured especially!

14Bore10 Aug 2018 1:35 p.m. PST

Yes but usually stick to Vanilla, often but not always put cut up fruit ( strawberries, blueberries mostly). I take it in my work lunch every day.
I buy the 32oz and split it into a smaller cup.

Greg G110 Aug 2018 1:46 p.m. PST

Greek yogurt with muesli and fresh pineapple for breakfast, can't beat it.

Stryderg10 Aug 2018 2:07 p.m. PST

Not unless its frozen.

shirleys painting10 Aug 2018 2:20 p.m. PST

The smell alone makes me sick…

Personal logo Mister Tibbles Supporting Member of TMP10 Aug 2018 8:11 p.m. PST

No. Makes me nauseous. Ice cream has same effect. :-(

COL Scott ret11 Aug 2018 6:57 p.m. PST

Yes in any way shape or form, although nowhere near a kg.

goragrad12 Aug 2018 8:19 p.m. PST

After my oncologist recommended it to restore intestinal flora after chemo I have been using it ever since when the tummy goes off.

It also makes a cheaper desert/snack (and a bit healthier) than a lot of others.
