Do any of the Nuts! rule books or supplements have rules for early-war equipment: Panzer Is and IIs, anti-tank rifles and so on? |

Not that I am aware, but I would love to be wrong about that. I bought the original version, and tried hard to learn the game. The core mechanics are different than any other game I had tried, and it was not an easy grasp for me. But ultimately, I gave up, not because of the rules, but because of the equipment listings. Initial versions of the game were aimed at 1944 and beyond. I collect minis for early war only (and none of my friends collect anything WWII). So if there are no stats for Poland, Finns, Norway, British BEF, British North Africa 1940-41, France and of course, Germany, suitable for 1939 to the end of 1941 … no point in continuing. I do remember stumbling upon a PDF for Polish forces, several years after I acquired the first version of the rules. But by then … I had moved on. I hope someone can post links to forces for the early war period, as I am interested in updating to the latest version (4th I believe) and trying Nuts! again. |

I found Nuts and FNG pretty easy to learn, if you concentrate on what the soldiers do, not on exploiting the mechanisms. Move up in cover, poke out a head in a spot nobody's looking so you can see what's going on, spread forces out for the rush (so they don't get mowed down because they were bunched). Smoke enemy OPs so they can't see you advance. That kind of thing. Real-world decisions should shape your moves, not game mechanism decisions. On the other hand, I've been playing Ed's games since Guns and Girls became Chain Reaction. I'm pretty confident I've internalized a lot of Ed's design intent. Looking at my 2HW collection, I see weapons and vehicle stats in NUTS and in Clash of titans that would address Early War (most should be listed there already and you certainly have enough examples to work out early war numbers for anything else). |

Do any of the Nuts! rule books or supplements have rules for early-war equipment: Panzer Is and IIs, anti-tank rifles and so on? Yes. The NUTS! Compendium has lists for Early War units and vehicles, including French, Polish, Dutch and Danish vehicles. The NUTS! Clash of Titans campaign book also includes Early War equipment lists for Germany and the USSR, as well as for Finnish, Romanian, Hungarian and Italian units and vehicles. |

Clash of Titans actually has a lot of French tanks in it too, under various Axis lists. |
