Just checking to see if anyone has recommendations for flight stands to be used with helicopters. These are 1/144 scale and range in size from AH-1 to CH-53 models – really hoping for something robust that supports the models and keeps them from tipping over. |

Plastic wine glasses from a Dollar Store. It has a base that can be removed. You can get 4-6 for a buck. Turn upside down and you get a rather wide "glass" and the part that fits into the base can be drilled out for magnets, etc. |

Do ear surgery. Every case I do my scrub nurse takes off a disposable crystal clear plastic cover from the Zeiss Microscope lens….and knows that I have collected them for years. She has no idea why. I base three cavalry figures or five skirmishers on each one I started in June 1976…..I have a lot |

I bought clear plastic rods clear plastic bases. Drilled a hole in the base for the rod and then glued a magnet on the other end of it to mount the helicopter. Put another magnet on the bottom of the helicopter. Took a few minutes to make each stand. I ended up getting all this at a local plastics company that sells their remnants very inexpensively. |

I get problems with bugs too; they can spoil my work…… and appropriate antibiotics are getting harder and harder to find (seriously!) |
