The game of Battleship Command allows players to take on the role of Second World war admirals commanding squadrons and fleets in the many theatres of the war at sea. The rules are designed for players to command fleets of one to 10 ships however larger actions can be fought if players wish. The rules are intended to be fast to play allowing an action to be fought to a conclusion within a few hours of play. Battleship Command also includes a new command and control system where the quality of the officers under your command can have a major impact on the game. The rulebook includes all the rules needed to play, generic and historical scenarios as well as ship and aircraft data for the British Royal Navy, the Kriegsmarine, French Navy, Regia Marina, US Navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy. The rules are available from the WargameVault: link For an example AAR check out the following link: link |

I just picked them up and they look jolly good with just the sort of level of detail I'm looking for. Bravo Zulu. I notice that you have provided a fairly comprehensive conversion system for other ships, do you have a view on how well they would represent ships for the Great War? I appreciate many of the ships represented were built during the Great War but they had been extensively refitted before 1939. Cheers, Jon |

Thanks for buying the rules. I cant see any reason why the rules couldn't be used for WWI, however a few tweaks to the rules would be needed, these are a few I can think of off the top of my head: -Weapon accuracy will need to adjusted to reflect the lower quality rangefinders and lack of fire control radar. -Smoke from powder and ships coal fired engines must betaken into account. - Command ratings should be adjusted to reflect the lack of communication methods available during the era (i.e no radio comms). |

I've been reading the rules and I have a question. Should there be a critical hit that causes flooding damage? Anthony |

One of the last photographs of the Bismarck before she was sunk. he German warships are referred to in the masculine. I expect that your next AAR will include more on the Command & Control System? Good map. |

Just ran a quick solo test of the rules using the River Plate. Biggest question I had was what happens when a ship is reduced to 0 Hull points? Anthony |

When a ship is reduced to 0 Hull points it is destroyed.. I will be uploading a new Pdf that includes some clarifications today. It will also include a quick reference sheet… There is also a new AAR on my website: link |
