As the title says, what do you tell yourself all the time, even though you know, deep down inside, that you are just fooling yourself?

This is the year that I organize everything.

I can give it up anytime I want… Any time at all… No problemo… easy peasy.

I was going to say that I don't lie to myself, but that would be a lie.

I don't need to add any more units to this period.

Those are the last miniatures I buy this year.

I am definitely going to paint all those 6mm figures …… one day…..

I am not going to change scales ever again.

I'm perfectly happy with the historical periods I'm already doing and I don't need any more of them …

Honey, these are an investment, like art.

One more wargame project won't over extended me and I Really wasn't that interested in the other projects anyway.

I wont buy anything else until I have all of my projects completed…..

These will be the perfect rules for this genre of wargame. I'll never need to look at another set of rules again!

These will be all the figures I buy for this game.

1) Once I get these last few figures painted, I do a game with them.

2) I'll just need another unit and then I'll run a game.

All I have left to do is finish this period and I'll have everything I want.

I'm not going to buy anymore figures …

Soon, I'll be getting more games in.

My plan to buy less, paint more and play more.
I seem to be a hoarder first and a gamer second.

My heavy cavalry will defeat his lights, exposing the flank of his infantry and I'll sweep him from the field.

I am going to paint, prime or base for at least an hour each night!

I can finish a project, after all I've been working on one for nearly 40 years (on and off but mostly off) and it must be nearly done by now.

Hey, this battle will make a really good game!
The good guys will almost certainly win, if I modify the rules properly to insure it, and the players on the losing side will have a good time regardless.

Yeah, this is a big order that I'll be placing, but I shouldn't need to get any more figures for this project at all.

All of the above and I'm sure all of the below.

If I get rid of (x) figure(s) or terrain piece, I will need them in a week or two.

My figure painting is good enough!

I'm great at painting miniatures and crafting terrain!
