KV-13 is the direct ancestor of the IS series. Note the front hull shape. KV tanks were reaching an evolutionary end and putting an end to all heavy tanks. This tank rejuvenated the concept. While never fielded, it is an important step in the development of heavy tanks. Good find, Armand. |
