Hi all!

Well, I just finished up my OWN short story of a little known Richard Sharpe adventure, Sharpe's Wine, and I'd LOVE for some of you all to give it a read! I really tried to hit all of the high notes that we are all so familiar with, and do it in Cornwell's style, and I think I largely succeeded… if you love the Sharpe books, I think you'll really get a kick out of it!:)

Anyway… here is a link… I'd love to know what you guys and gals think!

Thanks for reading!:D

Nicely done! Very much the flavour of Sharpe!

It is great.

But, after a bottle of Chablis, I misread this.

I imagined Sharpe out foraging and plundering a small pig, as in "Waterloo", the Sergei B Film. Amazing the difference one apostrophe in the right place and a capital W can make…..

Enjoyable read. It's been a long while since I read all the Sharpe novels, but isn't Harper Irish and not Scottish?

Holy cow of course he is, not sure why I wrote Scottish!! Fixed:)

Very good, but you still have one "Scot" not amended:

"Patrick Harper enjoyed the trip back to Trujillo, chatting amiably with Father Sebastian about Spain and local wildlife and especially about winemaking, which the huge Scot had taken a recent, amateur interest in."
