I always thought the decks were dark grey until I saw a model with green decks. Now when I look at photographs, I can see the green. So what color were they – green or grey? Thanks in advance!

Green in the 70s, although dark grey was being introduced at the time. So all the new gas ships were grey, and some older ships transitioned during refits.

FWIW in my Falklands collection all the T21, T22, T42 and CVS have grey decks, RFAs are grey, other RN have green decks with grey flight decks

OK, I was painting a Blackwood for Cod Wars. Have a Tribal and another Blackwood on the way.
