The next diorama should be "The Resurrection of Fury" as American repair depots would most likely repair and clean out/up the tank and have it ready for action for a new crew within 48 hours… |

WOW !!!! |

Glad you like it my good friend!. (smile) I like the touch of the "the covered face" of the corpse of the Sergeant of the tank … a fine detail.

In the movie which inspired this nice diorama, there is a scene where 4 Shermans engaged a Tiger. One of the Sherman TC's was decapitated by an 88mm round (ouch), while another Sherman had its turret blown clean off. But these noble sacrifices bought Wardaddy's 'Fury' enough time to outflank the Tiger and destroy it from the rear. A 1:2 kill ratio against the formidable Tiger for the Sherman is pretty darn good in anyone's book. |

Don't get me started on how they ruined a perfectly good war movie. Was there anything accurate in the movie?? Uh yeah maybe the tank. What a waste. Ugh. |

This diorama wasn't the only attempt to depict what truly would have happened IRL. This unofficial Non-Director's cut is more accurate than the actual scene from the movie: youtu.be/6wX2fBTnEmQ |

Well… the ratio was 1:3… (smile) Amicalement Armand |

Was there anything accurate in the movie? Well having watched war movies since the 50s. Just getting the tanks right was a "big" improvement. M4s, M47s & M48s with an iron cross or rising sun painted on the hull, etc., was as good as it got ! Save of Kelly's Heroes in @ '72, where they converted T34/85s to look very much like Tiger Is. The most obvious give away was the suspension of the T34 vs. a Tiger. But it a very much welcomed improvement over the M4s, etc. with an painted on the turret … |

Fury had a lot of potential but it was just badly managed. Tactics made no sense, continuity was bad. The ending awrful. As Legion 4 mentioned the tanks and equipment looked good. |
