Hi all, I didn't know where else to ask this?

A friend of mine has been bitten by the 20mm bug and bought a few figures from Covert Intervention Games. I also gave him some stuff that was surplus to my requirements as well. He wants to basically do games based on the Monster Hunter International books, or "Buffy, with more firepower". But, I am at a loss as to what rules to recommend?

Any advice?

There are plenty of zombie killing rule sets but Ganesha Games has a set called Fear and Faith if you want something more varied. Own them but have not played but I think they have a good reputation and a few battle reports on the web.

7TV would be worth a shot.

GDW's Dark Conspiracy was based on the Twilight 2000 rules. You can pick up either used copies or PDF's for cheap.

If he's going to be playing solo or with the players as a team against the monsters, I like the Two Hour Wargames rulesets. He can get the free set here (CR2015) :

If he likes the system, then he look at the All Things Zombie rules or the fantasy versions for typical fantasy monsters.

There are also some Big Game Hunter rules out there, I think called The Lion Eats Tonight.

Might as well use rules for something that can and will eat your fool self to game MHI.

Oh, you could also try Infinity, there are a couple alien factions that you can use as monsters, lots of different weapons. Rules are free to download: PDF link and PDF link

Additional markers and stuff can be downloaded from here: link
