Hi folks, I had some spare laminate floor underlay and thought it could be used for a terrain project. They are made from woodfibre and about 5mm thick and easily cut with a good blade. I thought each layer could be cut as the next contour on a small hill or ridgeline. They are based on 5mm MDF. The next stage is to use the underlay offcuts and mash them up with water and PVA to make a pulp which will be moulded into the contours to provide a more realistic look. once dried it becomes hard and durable and easily base painted ready for flocking. They are designed to be modular, fitting against each other or against a straight edge.

Very nice. I have used 1/2' pink insulation foam, offcuts in a blender with Durham's Water Putty and some paper mache'. If I find a blend that is not too sticky, I'll post it.
