Another Austro-Russian victory at Historicon with ESR Napoleonics!

Hiller successfully bottled up Bernadotte while joining up with Sacken's Russians to crunch down on Lannes, isolating the French and outnumbering them more than 3:2.

You can check out an after action report and lots of photos in our Gallery

Rules: ESR Napoleonics Second Edition
Miniatures: ESR Box Sets
Terrain: Battlescale
Scales: 1" = 150 yards, 160 scale miniatures (aka 10mm)

ESR can be played at any ground scale with any scale miniatures.

Very Nice!
Lannes being beat- that's some ahistorical ;-)

I would disagree that Hiller bottled up Bernadotte. (I played Bernadotte). My infantry division had terrible activation rolls and took forever to deploy. In fact by doing little to take the pressure off Lannes, I think I played Bernadotte just like Bernadotte would in real life!!

Great game and a fun time was had by all!

Ahhh, a General's bane: lousy activation rolls!

Dale, You're not wrong… but the victors always write the histories, and according to Hiller's report from the Austrian archives, it was totally his generalship that kept you back :-p And who ever knew and Austrian general to exaggerate his accomplishments?

These AAR would greatly benefit from some captions telling us what is going on in the pics. Otherwise, ok pics of some 10mm figures on a Cigar Box mat.

Hiller self aggrandizing? Sounds like the players really got into their historical roles!
