Finally finished up my SWL forces. I did most of the minis. from two core boxed sets plus the AT-ST walker and the Airspeeder. I also did all the barricades from the core sets and some 3D-printed terrain.

Overall I think the detail of the SWL stuff is pretty good. Some detail areas of the rebel and stormtroopers were a bit fuzzy in spots, but most of them were pretty crisp for the most part.

All I have left to do is add flocking to the bases and I'm good to go.

Very nice Snowtroopers!

Good job. I finished mine last week (similar numbers) and we had our first game Saturday.

Thanks!

The Snowtroopers were interesting, because I had quite forgotten their actual color scheme from the Empire Strikes Back. It's beeen a while since I watched the original trilogy.

I forgot how much khaki/tan are in their outfits! I had assumed that they were mostly white like ordinary stormtroopers. But then after looking up some screenshots from the original movies as well as some replica models, I was kind of shocked to see that their pants, most of their sleeves, and their outer skirts were all that tan color.

I had also quite forgotten that their boots were brown and covered in those tan canvas wraps. It makes them look very unique and very much like they're really out in the field and ready for marching out in rugged environments.

Really interesting getting reacquainted with their original uniforms and clothing colors!

I do admit that I had to stop at 21 each of the rebel troopers and stormtroopers. I still have another squad of 7 each from the core sets that are primed but not painted yet.

But by the time I reached the 21-mini. point I had reached a period of high burnout and decided to play some games with what I had. I've got three squads of each so I'm pretty sure I can do at least the minimum-required numbers for legal army lists, right? Have to go and check the rules again… I remember people on the forums saying that you needed to buy two core sets because you need at least several squads for both sides. So I just followed that recommendation and bought two of the core sets.
