Yea…the days of ordering a couple of packs of figures are over due to the ridiculous postage costs to do so.

Texas to Idaho was $117 USD? For 3 boxes?

haywire31 Jul 2018 6:40 a.m. PST

Must have been an oversized box to incur that kind of penalty.

What were the dimensions?

Couldn't use Medium or Large Flat Rate Box?

I sometimes balk at postage costs until I step back and actually consider what the post office (or any shipping company) does. They take my letter or package and physically carry it across the country or across the world and place it in the hands of the one specific person in the world I asked them to. That's actually pretty amazing.

I've sent 40+ pounds 3-day USPS from NC to IL for less than $50 USD, your boxes must have been goofy big.

When I was in line at the post office the other day, I swear the guy behind me had a kayak wrapped in brown paper to mail. I did not linger to see how much he had to pay. :)
