I reserve friend for actual friends who I could reasonably pick out of a line up, lend money to, hide a body for (the usual standards of friendship)….doesn't mean I don't like you Bill.  Maybe forum friend is better, like work friend as in I can get along with you but most of the time we don't even come into contact with each other. |

And, in all fairness, can a moderator really afford to make friends from among the people he is supposed to monitor, without jeopardizing the illusion that there are no conflicts of interest in any of his/her rulings? Acquaintance should be good enough then. Dan |
