I would think it a good idea if the heavy hitters for the 28mm plastics for WW2 to make a army specific set of multi possible abandoned tankers on foot. Not much but say 7 bodies or so. Then in the same box they could have another 7 prone positions which would have arms and legs to suit for wounded or dead troopers. There are options here and there but I think this would be a nice addition for many games. In CoC I mark where a trooper has fallen. When a tank does not go atomic I found my options for crew on foot lacking and turns out I think I had all that are on the the market. BTD ones. So maybe the Perry's or Paul at Warlord may see this and add it to a dry erase board for a meeting. You guys make it happen then you owe me a few sprues of Russians and Germans. What say youTMP folks? JH |

Brittania makes tank crew in 20mm metal, so why not. |

Id have thought economics would intervene, the whole basis of plastics is volume, you need to sell a lot of em to make the money back to cover the set up costs. Dismounted tank crews I suspect dont come into the bulk sellers class. More of niche in metal/resin thing Id have thought. L |

I think you would have better chance petitioning those manufacturers to make bailed out tankers and casualties in metal. Perrys for example do metal casualty packs for many periods, though not WWII, so it might be be possible to inspire them to do packs for WWII Germans. Similarly, they already do a few packs of tanks crews, but these are mainly intended for placement on vehicles – though there are also two dismounted tankers on each. Again it might be possible to encourage them to sculpt a full pack of six dismounted tankers – all they need is some inspiration. |

BattleFront/Flames of War does it in 15mm and they are great for indicating tanks where the crew has bailed out. Some rules allow such tanks to be recrewed as well. Think it is a very good idea for 28mm. Much better than a "bailed out" marker. |

Battlefront USED TO make bailed out tank crew. But you can only find them (one) in the older packs. I started using them as Bailed markets, but since my tanks mysteriously attract enemy shells, I never had enough of them. The only I can see such a set being economically viable is as a piece on a tank sprue. |

If you want Dismounted tankers with guns, would the black tree design figures work — US, German, Soviet link link link By the way I've been watching some TV about World War II, tank battles, and the Germans don't seem to wear any sort of helmet in the tank. Is that true. |
