41% of you – TMP link – said the best defenestration in a movie was Hans Gruber in Die Hard. But Mithmee says he shouldn't count because he was shot first and then fell out the window. |

Ah, but as haywire's picture shows, Hans was still alive when he went out the window. It was the shot that threw him out, but it was the fall that killed him…or rather the abrupt stop at the bottom. |

I kind of like the scene in "Diamonds Are Forever", when the two mugs toss Jill St. John (Plenty O'Toole)out the window off the balcony. She lands in a swimming pool below. James: "Nice shooting." Bemused mug: "I didn't even know there was a pool down there." |
