Looks like HBO is getting the band back together and will be releasing a Deadwood movie next spring.

I hope they tie up all of the loose ends. I loved that show.

I too loved that show. Along with many others I protested vigorously to HBO about cancelling it. Apparently it was very expensive to produce per episode and the show's creator lost interest for another project. That turned out to be "John From Cincinnati" about which the less said the better.

I cancelled HBO after the debacle of no more Deadwood. I mean Hell, it was only supposed to run for four seasons, like the actual town lasted. But Milch looses interest after 3 seasons of the best show on TV??? That was a crock… I HOPE it really gets done this time, though they have been talking about this for years now & I've been following the talking. We shall see…

The only thing that could make this better news (and it is a very good piece of news) is if they introduced Raylan Givens great-great grandfather as a new character. H

12 years later? Why'd they wait so long? They'll end up having to spend half the movie explaining what everyone's been doing or we will be expected to pretend that the cast hasn't aged at all if they pick it up where they left off.

I'm in the minority as I loved the show going into the second season but got sick of all that flowery talk and stopped watching it.I don't think a reboot will cut it .
